Where does inspiration come from? The debate has been long and hard fought on all sides. Some say it's like a divine boot that drops on your head. Others believe you have to chase the muse through routine and sweat. Some say it is both.
My personal experience has been that inspiration does come in those ways, but there is an easier way. My greatest inspirations come from observing other people and my surroundings with a keen eye of love.
When artists work in front of me and I see them do their art, their way, I get all fired up. Firstly because I get to see art forms or techniques I have never touched. Also because I get to see concepts that come from the soul of another and my perspective gets wider.
This is obviously a very deep and wide subject with more than a fine diamond's worth of facets. That being said, I often find myself throwing away the simple wonderful truths in the fear of the immensity of it. Remember the simple parts that you do understand, and the rest will come.
