- "the party's leaders believed that a long period of education and propaganda would be necessary"
information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
"he was charged with distributing enemy propaganda"
the dissemination of propaganda as a political strategy.
It's odd that our culture is so unaware of all the propaganda they are fed everyday. If you would like a little insight into the realities of propaganda (they call it it P.R. now, because of the negative connotations of the word), you need to look up a man named Edward Bernays, who is hailed as the father of Public Relations. You also should read his very enlightening book titled, you guessed it, "Propaganda"
For a taste, here is the overarching theme:
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”
This is no conspiracy theory. This is real. This is factual. And the men who conceived this idea and executed it wrote heavily and honestly about it. And these men that we have never heard of have been herding our society for a long time.
It is time to stop the madness as much as we can. Turn off the TV. Question everything. I mean everything. Especially if there is money involved. Extra especially if there is a lot of money involved.
That political/religious/societal worldview you hold? Shaped by a small group of people in a backroom that need you to believe their propaganda. For reasons that have only to do with their benefit, not yours.
We all have a choice, take the blue pill and stay in the dream state that propaganda lulls us into, or take the red pill and go down the rabbit hole of reality...
Which do you choose?
